The International Portuguese Music Awards (IPMA) and Camões Entertainment Group (CEG) today announce a global strategic partnership that will bolster IPMA's local presence in Canada.

IPMA is a United States-based, annual awards event which honors the best music recorded and produced by artists of Portuguese descent worldwide. Through this partnership, IPMA will increase its footprint into Canada and continue to expand its international reach, contributing to the long-term success of Luso artists all over the world.

"We are thrilled to partner with Camões Entertainment Group to elevate the awareness of our rich culture and Portuguese artists in Canada and the rest of the world." said David Saraiva, Co-Founder & Executive Producer, IPMA.

Canada is home to one of the largest Portuguese Diasporas in the world, with almost half a million people hailing from every region in the country. Artists of Portuguese descent have found tremendous success on some of the world’s biggest stages and IPMA will continue to promote their success while providing a platform to discover emerging talent.

  • Focus on joint innovation and product development, together bringing expertise, resources and networks to envision, design and deliver a bigger and better IPMA year after year

  • Foster collaboration across the Lusophone music industry worldwide

  • Generate mainstream interest in Portuguese music, arts & culture

  • Expose and promote new artists around the globe

"I have always been a music fan, extremely committed to celebrating my Portuguese roots and appreciate strong work ethic" said Manuel Da Costa, President, CEG.
