IPMA PERFORMER LINEUP

Fernando Daniel – rose to stardom after winning The Voice in Portugal. A powerful voice and emotive performances showcase his versatility across genres including pop, soul, and ballads. He was nominated for Best Portuguese Act at the MTV Europe Music Awards.

João Pedro Pais – has a career spanning over two decades, with his signature blend of pop and rock songs. Awards include Globos de Ouro (Golden Globe Awards) and Prémio Autores (Authors' Award). He has hit some of the biggest stages such as Rock in Rio and toured with Bryan Adams on the Spain and Portugal leg of his tour.

Cremilda Medina – is a cultural ambassador for Cabo Verde and renowned for her contributions to the traditional music of the islands, particularly in the genres of morna and coladeira. She is a two-time IPMA winner.

 

Augusto Canário – is celebrated for his role in preserving and modernizing Portuguese folk music, particularly from Madeira, bridging the gap between traditional and contemporary sounds.

Cape Verdean music legend Tito Paris is renowned for his soulful melodies and masterful guitar playing that blends Cape Verdean rhythms with jazz and contemporary styles.

The Manic Boys and Girls Club – is a sibling indie rock duo from Toronto known for their raw, high-energy performances. Their music features themes of youth, rebellion, and personal freedom. They won Music Video of the Year in the 2024 IPMA.

Jorge Silva – emigrated to the United States in 1974 and has a “Key to the City” of East Providence. His fifty-year career has brought him to stages such as the Grand Ole Opry and Ritz Theatre. He was once invited to compete in Festival da Canção for the chance to represent Portugal in the Eurovision.
